The Easiest Way To Paint Ceilings and Walls

So much has been happening here at the house! We are making some nice progress on the basement. Most of it I still can’t show you, but it will be worth the wait!

I have the other bedroom mostly complete so I have moved on to working on the other room as well. The kids are currently camped out in the living room with sleeping bags. They think it is super cool. Hopefully they still think it is cool in a couple of days.

My HomeRight project this month is painting walls and ceilings, which is perfect since I have a whole room of baby blue and red walls :)

The easiest way to paint walls and ceiling without making a mess, is to use a PaintStick. I have both the regular and the EZ-Twist versions. This time I was using the twist one. It couldn’t be easier. You clip the fill tube to the paint can, insert the tip of the tube into the paint stick, and pull the handle out. The suction pulls paint into the handle. Then you just slowly twist and paint comes out of the roller!

There are holes in the roller that allow the paint to come out. At first it will look all polka dotty but will start to be even as you push more paint out and the roller get saturated.

The long handle makes it easy to reach the ceiling. Bye, bye clouds!

Now I have a clean, blank slate on which I can work my magic. I am SO excited for what I have planned in here. I already have the wood cut for the two beds!

HomeRight is giving away THREE EZ-Twist PaintSticks! There will be three winners chosen.

  1. Audrey Stewart says

I will be painting my kitchen. I like to do that every few years or so because the walls just seem to get yucky.

  2. Ashleigh Hall says

I need to repaint several bedrooms in my house including the master and our daughter’s room. Also, we are currently building a farmhouse and need to paint 1200 sq.ft. of it!! I have tons of painting to do! This paint stick looks amazing. Heading to check it out now!!

  3. Cheryl says

All the rooms in our home need painting. I hate doing ceilings the most. A paint stick would make it so much easier.

  4. Melissa Lynch says

It’s been a while and 2 (creative, artistic) kids since we’ve painted our house, so almost all of the rooms need painting. I think the living room and main hallway would be first.

  5. Amy C. says

We are getting ready to paint our family and living room. It’s been so long and definitely needs a refresh! Thanks!

  6. Carol Whewell says

First room I need to paint is the bathroom! I’m concerned about painting the ceiling primarily since I’m not a spring chicken!

  7. Stacey says

We recently bought our first house and haven’t painted yet. Need to paint the whole downstairs and still finish our upstairs bedroom. This would come in super handy to help us get the job done!

  8. Frani says

Need an EZ-Twist PaintStick right away. A leak caused a major re-do and and EZ Twist would help SO much with the painting. Thanks for the opportunity to win one!!! ♥

  9. Carrie says

We built our home in 2008 and a couple of the rooms downstairs need to be painted and the whole upstairs also!
We just never seem to have the time with full time jobs and the craziness of LIFE. Lol People told me while we were building that you’ll never really be finished, well this year we intend on proving them wrong!
These paint sticks sound really productive. Thanks for letting me know they’re out there.?

  10. Tracy Scharf says

We have a high ceiled stairway. When we bought our house almost a year ago, the owners never finished repainting the stairway because of the high ceilings. So, we have khaki paint halfway up the white walls. It drives me crazy but with a 15month old and 5 year old twins, we just haven’t found time to paint.

  11. Cathy B. says

Of course, we’ve painted nearly every room ourselves but, of course, our bedroom got the short stick and still needs some paint magic. I love painting and it’s a fairly inexpensive way to change the whole look of a room. Can’t wait to see what you do.

  12. Sarah Savagian says

We have so much painting to do in our house. We moved in 3 years ago and nothing had ever been painted. It was still the original sprayed on drab off white. This paint stick looks awesome!

  13. Debra says

Will be moving in a few months. This would sure come in handy. Thanks for the chance to win. Lookly forward to your reveal.

  14. Linda Waugh says

My combined dining/living room area is definitely needing to be painted. I am very excited about this product and hopefully I will win it! This would cut my work down almost in half. Thanks for this opportunity to participate in the give away.

  15. Bobbi Abbott says

Liza! You read my mind. I’ve been pondering whether I tackle some paint projects myself, or outsource them. It looks like the PaintStick will do the trick for me. I’m getting ready to redesign my son’s old nursery (he’s 15 now), and also have a ceiling full of clouds to cover up!

  16. Joanna says

We painted almost the whole house about a year ago, but we still have a few rooms that need the ceiling painted. Unfortunately, we were given bad advice and told to paint the ceilings with primer because it’s the same as flat only chesper?. Not true. So, now we get to redo that job. This paint stick would be a life saver!

  17. NaDell Ransom says

This would be amazing! Right now I’m working on my master bedroom. I have a goal to paint four rooms in my house this year though and that would be the perfect WIN!

  18. Mary Payton says

I would love to win this. My roof leaked and left water spots that need to be painted over. We have replaced the roof but the spots need to be gone.

  19. Lori says

I need to paint the dining room. We have some stripes going on that need to painted over since I fear that trend is over…

  20. Patty says

Used to have Paint Stick — loved it! Couldn’t find the Paint Stick locally, so bought a different brand. Totally a waste of money! Would love to get the Paint Stick.

  21. Karin says

This is right on time for me! I am currently working on finishing my son’s room and getting ready to paint the master and guest room. Our autistic 16 year old also dicovered he’s tall enough to reach the ceiling – with dirty hands. All of our ceilings need to be repainted in a washable finish, something I have been dreading. I think I will give the paintstick a try – free would be even better!

  22. Robin says

    Now THIS looks practical.

Excited to see how time-saving and efficient it can make the painting process.

I’ve always enjoyed painting projects, but the idea of streamlining the process even more definitely has an appeal.

  23. stephanie says

Our whole house needs new paint! The playroom and dining room are up first as soon as we pick out the new tile to be put in both rooms (they’re connected).

  24. Noreen says

The people who lived here before us loved painting one wall a different color from the rest of the room. And they did it in almost every room. I am SO over that and would love to have my rooms all one color. I’d like to get rid of the dark blue/gray wall, but it’s fighting the urge to start with the super ugly green in he living room.

  25. Moriah says

The next project on my list is painting the bedroom ceilings. This looks perfect for the dreaded task. Couldn’t have been a more timely post :). Thank you

  26. Patty says

We are planning to put our house on the market very soon and this would help us tremendously. My husband HATES to paint but I kind of enjoy it. I think I would love it with this. Thanks.

  27. Karen Bever says

This paint stick looks like it would take most of the mess away from painting. It motivates me to start some of the painting projects I’ve been putting off.

  28. Elizabeth H says

My living room, dining room and long hall. Seeing you at work makes me want to paint now. Can hardly wait for your unveiling of your basement! You go girl.

  29. beverly e says

I have several rooms that need painting. The EZ-Twist would be a big help with the ceilings, especially in my 20 x 20 den!

  30. Kristy says

How about I start with a bathroom. They all need painting but if I don’t break it down it’s so overwhelming I’ll never pick up a roller!! This is really neat, I love rollers and saving time!

  31. Sandy Woerner says

We are wanting to downsize and the WHOLE house needs painting after 21 years. This paint stick would make it so-o-o much easier on our old bodies!!!

  32. Laura Chipman says

Painting our hallway is on my to do list for this month and this would be an awesome help! I am super short and painting ceilings is a huge pain for me because I often can’t reach the corners very well. Thanks for the fun giveaway

  33. Amy Reed says

Both of my daughters’ bedrooms need to be painted.. their teenagers now an no longer like the colors they chose a few years ago.

  34. Alina says

We have a few rooms to paint this Spring and Summer. The main one we want to paint is our LR and it has 20ft. tall ceilings. So this prize would come in very handy!

  35. Sean C says

Oh our son’s room hands down and dining room. These two we’ve put off for a little over a year and we said no more excuses and this year it’s happening.

  36. grammy goodwill says

Our guest room needs to be painted. It doesn’t get any natural light and is very dark. Thanks for the chance to win such a handy tool.

  37. Tammie says

I have a hideous reddish wall in our downstairs powder room that I would love to repaint as well as an ugly rose-colored bathroom upstairs. The PaintSticks would be perfect for the job.

  38. Tammara says

Oh boy, where to start…let’s say the majority of the interior rooms in the house need to be painted. Spring is around the corner, time for a change!

  39. Kelsey Vinson says

We actually just did a majority of the painting this past weekend. But I do still need to do my daughters bedroom and a few tOuch ups in the living room

  40. donna porter says

We are remodeling our home so I must say all rooms. I am going to first paint the living room. This looks like it would do a great job!
